Foods to serve at a Kids BDay Party?
I am having a birthday party for my 5 year old daughter and 1 year old son. What are some good foods that I can serve (its a halloween party) I dont want anything gruesome, like the string cheese that looks like fingers and stuff. That is too much for the little kids. The party is going to be outside, because of the HUGE guest list... and it might be a little cold, this time of year you can never tell around here. So, I need to know what would be good to serve. We are definetly having cupcakes that look like pumpkins and a tropical punch that I am going to put a couple of packets of unsweetened orange koolaid in to give it color. I will probably decorate with jack-o-lanterns and orange and black streamers and balloons. We have asked the children guests to wear their costumes. PLease help... I am so stumped. I thought we would have hot dogs and homemade chili, but I was late in reserving my shelter and now there is a very huge chance that we wont be able to get under a shelter and I wont have an outlet to plug in a crockpot for the chili. I dont want to cook AT THE PARTY, like grill, because after all I am having 2 SMALL childrens parties, without a lot of help... there is alot that I am going to have to do... so if I could offer premade foods, then that would be great! :)
