Is "The Snowman" book by Norwegian author Jo Nesbo too scary to read...?

I put this book on hold a few months ago after reading an excellent review of this book, and as of today, I am #11 of 43 holds at the Salt Lake City Library. The book is supposed to be a fictional horror book. But now since Norway had a real life horrible terrorist attack, I'm thinking this book might be too frightening to read. Should I cancel my hold?!
