Cherry Blossom tree (Sakura) and underground pipes?

I am a new home owner, and as a new home owner petrified of everything. I want to plant a Cherry Blossom tree in my front yard, but I am looking for some best practice advice on tree roots and underground pipes. I am connected to a city sewer system
