IPod soaked in water overnight...please help?

So I cam home from a christmas party last night and jumped right in bed, haphazardly putting my ipod on the headboard behind me. Completely unaware of what I was doing, I dropped my ipod in a half-full gl of water. It was only submerged screen end down up to about the top of the wheel. Seeing as I was in bed so late and got up so early, it was in the water for about six hours. What, if anything, can I do to fix this? Thank you so much!
